Casal são joão is a typical madeira house dated from 1930, it is 55km from funchal (the capital of this island) on the west coast. It is surrounded by enormous and green mountains with the famous levadas and bellow casal são joão a beautiful beach. If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful place where you have full contact with nature, you have chosen the right place! this resort offers you 4 apartments that are normally completed during the summer (july, august and september) as this is our high season! every apartment has a kitchenette and private wc. There is a big terrace with adapted furniture with a lovely view over the atlantic ocean! we do have a barbecue for afternoon picnics too! apart fro all of this we also have a gymnasium to keep you in form and jacuzzi if you prefer to relax instead! we also have a small wine cellar where you can taste some of madeira's best wines or if you want, you can play a game of table tennis too! if you want to go to the sea, you can walk or go by car. Walking will take you 30 minutes and by car will take you 5 minutes. The distance from the airport to casal são joão is 80 km, which will take you about 70 minutes. Casal são joão is located on the southwest part of the island, which has a tropical climate even though madeira is quite humid!
